Interpreting the Trends for Maximum Sell-through

How do you harness fashion’s momentum for maximum sell-through? Jane Matteson, principal of Matteson Design and Consulting and founder of TrendStrategy™ service, is a former upholstery merchandiser responsible for promoting the talents of top furniture designers Vladimir Kagan, Stanley Jay Friedman and Yoshi Hatano. In two hour-long sessions, held on consecutive days exclusively for Showtime attendees, Matteson will interpret color and styling news from leading home décor sources, including Maison d’Objet and a host of design shelter publications. Supporting her unique perspective for how to grow sales in the residential home furnishings segment, an overview of business and marketing analysis, strategic product development and cohesive brand building will be covered in this high impact presentation, followed by Q&A. Trends often begin from the ground up... from shoes to handbags to the clothes you wear. Styles on the runway will make their way into home fashion. Ellen will walk you through the hottest fashion trends and how they will influence home fashion in upcoming seasons.
   
3:00 p.m. Come learn about North Carolina’s Textile Technology Center ---- a full scale “mini-mill” that conducts R&D trials and product testing and evaluation. These sessions will provide an overview of the Center’s capabilities, important QC and performance tests for end use applications and details about the new Textiles 101 courses (beginning in January 2010) being scheduled for industry personnel (information can be found on www.ncconnect.com.). In addition, the focus of current industry product developments will be discussed. Suites at Market Square Aisle 1100.
